Why give?

We rely on donations to enable us to be able to help the most vulnerable doodle dogs. Dogs like Eliza, in the video above. Eliza was found collapsed beside a busy road in Wales. The vets she was taken to had reached out to multiple rescues to take her before contacting us for help.

Eliza was nursed back to physical health before being transferred to specialist rehabilitation foster with our behavioural adviser and IMDT accredited trainer, Debbie Topping.

9 days after Eliza was rescued, aware that Eliza had been sighted running through sheep fields with another similar looking dog, Doodle Rescue fundraised for and coordinated the complex rescue, involving multiple agencies, of her littermate sister, Lorca, not far from where Eliza had been found collapsed.

Lorca and Eliza were reunited the following week, when Lorca was strong enough to be discharged from the vets and Eliza and Debbie travelled back to Wales to collect her.

Both Eliza and Lorca have been rehabilitated and both have been adopted (Eliza by her saviour, Debbie)

Eliza and Lorca’s story is just one example of the work we do and the lengths we will go to - as a small team of volunteers - to give the most vulnerable dogs a chance at a happy, fulfilled life. We can only continue to help dogs like Eliza and Lorca with your help.

Please make a donation towards our work, We never want to be in a position to have to turn away dogs like Eliza and Lorca, but the reality is that the mistreatment, abuse and neglect of dogs has risen dramatically in the last few years and many of these dogs are physically and/or emotionally scarred - and this at a time when our costs for caring for these dogs have skyrocketed.

Every £1 donated helps. A monthly donation helps enormously. We appreciate every penny. Thank you.
