FOSTER TO ADOPT
DAISY AND DOLLY
FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PLACEMENT REQUIRED
Cockapoos Daisy and Dolly
Location: Hailsham
This is a “foster-to-adopt” placement, meaning Daisy and Dolly will be placed on a foster basis to enable us to assess them and for both to be spayed. If all goes well, their fosterers will then be able to adopt them (an adoption fee will be payable)
Dolly and Dolly are a pair of cockapoos who are in need of a new home. They have been loved and adored but due to circumstances beyond the control of their owner they need to find their new family. We are hoping to rehome both girls together.
Here is how their owner describes Daisy and Dolly:
Daisy is a black wavy furred 3 year old cockapoo. She is very friendly and loving and loves to licks a lot. She is intelligent and house trained. She understands commands for toilet, bed, food, sit, lie down, wait, paw, cuddles etc. She loves to have her tummy tickled.
Dolly is a brown curly 3 year old cockapoo. She is very friendly and loving. She is very submissive and will roll on her back for a tummy rub. I blow raspberries on her tummy as I used to do this when she was little. She is very intelligent and house trained. She understands commands for toilet, bed, food, sit, lie down, water, wait, paw, cuddles, go get it (fetch) etc. She also like to drink water out of a glass mug!
We are looking for a home where someone is home for a lot of the time due to Daisy and Dolly not being used to being left for any period of time. They have not lived with cats before.
Daisy and Dolly will be spayed while in foster.
They have not lived with children and for this reason we are looking for foster homes where children are over 8 years old.
They have previously lived with a male dog and got along well so foster homes where there are other well-mannered, calm, neutered dogs can also be considered.
To be considered for Dolly and Daisy:
You must have someone at home most of the time as they are used to having their owner with them at all times. WFH is fine as long as you’re able to interact with them throughout the day.
Be able to meet them in the next week or so.
Have no holidays booked unless you are able to take Daisy and Dolly with you.
Be an experienced owner with the time and patience to work with Daisy and Dolly and provide them with enrichment opportunities.
Cat free home as they have not been cat-tested
Children must be over 8 years old and be aware of the need to give these dogs their space.
Doodle Rescue is run by a small team of volunteers. We typically receive in excess of 100 applications for available dogs and we regret that we are unable to respond to unsuccessful applicants individually. If your application has been shortlisted to the next stage of our vetting process, or if we require additional information to enable us to fully consider your application, one of our volunteer admin will contact you via Facebook Messenger, by email or by phone/SMS within 3 days of your adoption application form submission. If you do not hear from us within this time frame, regrettably your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. We endeavour to provide sufficient information in each dog’s adoption bio to give an overview of our assessment of the dog and the required criteria to be considered to adopt the dog, to enable interested parties to assess suitability before submitting an adoption application. We regret that at this early stage of our vetting processes it is not possible for our volunteer admins to respond to requests for further information on a dog available for adoption since – with limited resources and time - we must prioritise finding the right home for the dog and we are grateful for your understanding in this matter. We regret that we are unable to enter into any correspondence with unsuccessful applicants or with those who are considering submitting an application but who have not yet done so. Note: due to GDPR we do not retain unsuccessful applications on our system and a new application will need to be submitted for any other available dogs
Dogs are carefully assessed whilst in foster and the stated criteria are based on the assessment and are non-negotiable. DUE TO GDPR WE DO NOT RETAIN APPLICATIONS ON OUR SYSTEM AND A NEW APPLICATION WILL NEED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR ANY DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING OR ADOPTING. WE ARE UNABLE TO ENTER INTO ANY DISCUSSIONS OR CORRESPONDENCE WITH UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS OR WITH THOSE WHO ARE CONSIDERING SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION BUT WHO HAVE NOT YET DONE SO
Please be aware that our vetting processes are thorough to ensure the welfare of the dogs and by submitting an application you are agreeing to cooperate with our processes.
